We rejoice with the angels over the birth of three. Jonathan Wilburn (left), Denise Wilburn (center) and Denise’s son, Jackson Owens (right), were baptized Sunday, April 24^th. Please welcome and encourage this new family.

•  Lisa Cooper: “Praise be to God for continued healing and restoration of my Uncle Lowell from COVID pneumonia. Gratitude for additional work for me.”

•  Dittos: “Remember our brothers, Darrell Brown, as he recovers from heart surgery and Corie Sheaks as he has a heart infection.” (Update: Darrell is still in Huntsville Hospital, room 651.)

•  Melanie Gipson: “Pray for my son, Joseph, in his decisions through engagement to his girl and spiritual life.”

•  Janice Greenleaf: “Please pray for a group of 23 from the Mariupol Church of Christ in Ukraine. They were in hiding for 5 weeks suffering cold, hunger, and assault. Travelled 13 days by train and bus to reach Poland. They are now in Sopot. Pray for their recovery from this ordeal. Sopot Church sends thanks again for Central’s support.”

•  Daniel Lewis: “Please pray for Casey Schaeffer, the son of a former coworker. Casey was involved in a 4-wheeler accident and is having his second surgery today to repair broken bones.”

Our congratulations to Ed and Melinda Goad who are the proud grandparents of a girl. Melanie Nicole was born Saturday, April 30^th, weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces. Her parents are Javontee and Sarah Phillips. Aunt Allison and uncles, Daniel and Jonathan, are excited about her arrival – as well as her cousin, Andrew Goad.

HANDSFREE WORKCAMP

Central’s Handsfree Workcamp will be June 5 – 10 this year. All 6^th – 12^th graders are invited. The cost is $75 per person. Register via website – text Rodney (256-520-9196) and he will send you the website or just let him know you are coming.

WORKCAMP HELPERS NEEDED

Workcamp is right around the corner – June 5 – 10, and we need your help to make it happen!

Please contact the office or Rodney if you can help in the following areas:

1. Preparing food (in kitchen with Graham Ray coordinating)

2. Driving church vans daily (8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

3. Staying on campus at UAH with students in the evening
