We rejoice with the angels over the birth of three. Hannah Wisehart, 8th grade daughter of Loren and Carrie, and Kayla Moore were baptized Sunday, May 2nd. Thomas McRoberts, a resident at His Way, was adopted Monday, May 3rd. Please welcome and encourage our newest sisters and brother.
Ø Stacey Condron: “Prayer request from my friend, Lynda Baker, who just texted me. ‘Please pray for my brother-in-law. He is having heart surgery tomorrow. His name is Gerry. Thank you.’”
Ø John Kuhn: “Dean Oden has circulation tests this Tuesday. Please pray all goes well.”
Ø Tom and Selwyn Reynolds: “1) Praise God for healing Regina’s foot. Pray for good treatment options from her oncology appointment on Tuesday. 2) Please pray for Selwyn’s brother-in-law, Kelly. For God to guide doctors to find problems causing his illness and for healing.”
Ø Tom Reynolds: “Please pray for the family and friends of Matthew Fairchild, a graduate of His Way, who passed away on Tuesday (May 4th).”
Ø Drue Wright: “Please pray for Claudia, as she reinjured her shoulder yesterday (Saturday, May 8th). It isn’t too bad but needs prayers for complete healing as she only has three more therapy sessions.”

Our sympathy is extended to The family of Samantha Bottomley – former fiancé of Jason Farless and member at Central. Samantha passed away early Sunday morning, May 2nd.
The family of Lee Strickland wish to thank the members of the Central congregation for the memorial service and meal afterwards. It was a moving service and was greatly appreciated. Lee will be missed by the Central family as well as his earthy family.
Our congratulations to Dean and Sandy Oden, who will be celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary tomorrow (Thursday, May 13th). Thank you for your example to all of us.
Our Sonrisers will be eating at O’Bryan’s tomorrow (Thursday, May 13th) at 11:30. If you plan on going with them, please contact Shirley O’Hanian or Karen Lowery.

Please contact the office or Rodney if you can help in the following areas:
1. Preparing food (in kitchen with Graham Ray coordinating)
2. Driving church vans daily (8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
3. Staying on campus at UAH with students in the evening
If your LIFE Talk would like to assist one evening with food or help prepare morning or evening meals contact Graham Ray. (See below article about Kitchen Help.)
Thank you for making Workcamp such a wonderful experience!
HANDS FREE KITCHEN HELP
As most know Hands Free Camp is almost here and like every other year the kitchen provides for many.
This year we need a shopper. They will need a vehicle and a shopping spirit.
Basically, we run 2 shifts – morning and night. The morning shift starts at 6:30 a.m. and the evening shift begins at 4:00 p.m. The kitchen does food prep, serving, and clean up in Graham’s world.
Please text Graham Ray at 256-677-8522 with your Name, Phone Number, Shift and Days you would like to work or if you would like to be “a shopper.”
Impact in Nashville, TN will be a little different this year. It will be June 21-23 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily for grades 6 - 12. Our group will be spending the nights at the Rural Hill Church in Antioch, TN. The cost of Impact will be $125 (lunch, dinner, and T-shirt).
MOTHER’S DAY GIFTS
Moms, if you were not here Sunday, May 9th, you may pick up your Mother’s Day gift (booklet from our Preschool and Elementary Children). It is on the kitchen ledge.
