We rejoice with the angels over the birth of a new brother. Jon Cothren, a resident at His Way, was baptized Monday, March 15th. Please welcome and encourage our newest brother.
Ø Kyearia Booker: “Prayers for my family – mental and physical health and to get through the rest of this semester.”
Ø Pat Canterbury: “Please pray for my cousin, Wayne Kinman, and his family. He started his radiation treatments for his rare lung cancer last Wednesday and his first chemo on Friday. Everything was going well, and he was tolerating the treatments. On Friday evening, he became confused, fidgety, and began hallucinating. His wife got him to the hospital, and he was admitted. Wayne had an MRI Saturday, and it revealed four very small spots on his brain, which the oncologist said were cancerous. Radiation can target only one area at a time and the lung is being targeted now, so nothing can be done about the brain at this time. The oncologist has said his cancer is stage four.”
Ø Jodi Moore: “Please pray for Lance to find a job.”
Ø LaVonne Norville: “Unfortunately the news from my biopsy was not the good news I was hoping for. It is indeed a basal cell carcinoma, as Dr. Calderwood and I suspected. I am feeling good about the surgeons that we are planning to have take care of it. I will let you know when we get surgeries scheduled.”
Ø Grant Ralph: “I have customers at work who consider me their enemy because of the lies and slander that has been spread about me and people judge me and try to bully me, even the children. God is my judge, and I don’t let the people who try to bully and harass me bother me because God’s will for me is to forgive, love, and pray for my enemies. Please join me in loving and praying for them. My only prayer is to be righteous and glorify God every day no matter what people say about me.”
Ø Lee Strickland’s has aggressive cancer and has started treatment. Please pray the treatments will work with little or no side-affects.

Dear Central Family,
Thank you for the many cards. It was a joy to open each one and to know that you had been praying for me. They were very encouraging.
Thanks for all the prayers on Bill’s behalf. He is progressing well. Please continue to lift him up for this progress to continue. Thank you from us both. We love you all and hope to return to be with you as soon as we can.
Dear Central Family,
Your generous and thoughtful gift of the fruit and goodie basket was very encouraging and delicious. We have enjoyed it so much and were reminded of what we’ve been missing by not being there with you for so long. Thank you for each and every prayer and for your cards and gifts of encouragement. I am on the mend from my fall and my nose procedure, and we look forward to being with you soon. You are always a blessing to us.

CENTRAL ADULT WEDNESDAY NIGHT
IN-PERSON AND ONLINE CLASSES
Spring Term – March 17 through June 2 – 7 pm
Each gospel account is a character sketch of Jesus. In Matthew we see him as King; in Luke, his humanity is emphasized as Son of Man. In John, we see him as Son of God. Mark, the shortest of the four gospels, shows Jesus in action and this action shown is the nature of a servant. “The Son of Man did not also come to be served but to serve and give his life a ransom for many” (10:45). Throughout Mark's account we see Jesus going from place to place, immediately responding to situations, just as one would expect a servant to respond. Mark is the shortest of all the gospels and can be easily read in one sitting. Our class will attempt to lift up Jesus as servant and discuss how we can follow his example and do the same.
The gymnatorium will be available for those who want to participate in person. Masks will be optional, and chairs will be configured to support as much physical distancing as desired. Class participation will be moderated to promote interaction both from the floor and from those who choose to participate online via Zoom. Teacher: Allen Wright
2. Let Your Hearts Not Be Troubled (Women Only, Zoom Only)
2020 troubled the world with fear, confusion, and mistrust as pestilence, civil unrest, and disrespect engulfed our communities. Fortunately, Christianity is a faith of hope and of certainty; of blessings independent of external circumstances. Join us this quarter as Jesus and Paul remind us that, regardless of the turmoil in our society, we can know that we are loved, protected, and blessed, and that we have the strength to love, protect, and bless others.
Wednesday evenings this Spring, the Ladies’ Bible class will study selected New Testament scriptures in detail using a variety of proven Bible study methods. The class will meet over Zoom and the majority of the class time will be dedicated to discussing what we’ve learned, so participants should be prepared to share their insights and discoveries. If you have any questions, contact Melinda Goad or Tina Palmer. If you’d like to participate, send an email to Pat Canterbury <email@example.com> asking her to add you to the email list that will include the Zoom link and class handouts.
A big thank everyone who came and/or donated to our Benevolence Supper Sunday, March 21st. $4,011 has been donated thus far.
