REJOICE
We rejoice with the angels over
the birth of a new brother and sister. Bryan Snell, a resident at His
Way, was baptized Wednesday, December 2nd, and wishes to work
and fellowship with us at Central. Stacey Ramos, who has been studying
with Kara Cornelius, was immersed Sunday, December 6th.
Please welcome and encourage our newest brother and sister.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Kyearia
Booker: “In need of prayer for my family due to
the loss of a loved one and prayer for all of the students this ending
semester.”
Juanita Crittenden:
“Please continue to keep my sister, Claudette, in your prayers as she
will begin chemo on December 10.”
Please keep James Hall in your
prayers as he has tested positive for COVID.
Sandra
James: “I just found out my sister, Mamie
Lewis, and her entire group home have COVID. Please pray for a mild
case and speedy recovery. Thanks!"
Please keep Tim Lewis
in your prayers as he had surgery yesterday in Birmingham. He hopes to be able
to go home today.
Dana Mercier:
“1) Please pray for my brother, Jimmy, and all the family. Jimmy’s
26-year-old son, Josh, was shot and killed in Malden, Mass. last week
and needs our prayers, especially Jimmy. 2) Bill Wallace, while
helping me rebuild my shed, cut off the end of his thumb.”
Grant Ralph: “My
sister, April, is still struggling with COVID; plus, my cousin, Everett,
who lives close to Nashville is almost always in extreme pain because of his
neck being injured since he was a teenager. He also struggles with extreme
headaches that are worse than migraines due to his neck injuries.”
Reynolds: “Please pray for recovery for Tony
Combs, husband of Selwyn’s friend, Dorae.
They found the source of his pain (epidural abscess) and had to do more
surgery. His condition is very fragile.”
Wiseharts: ““Requesting prayers for the family of one of Ali's
friends. They have many complicated health issues and are now dealing with both
COVID and the flu. Please pray that God will guard their hearts while their
bodies are weak. Thank you.”

CENTRAL
ADULT WEDNESDAY NIGHT ONLINE CLASSES
December
9 through December 23 – Wednesdays at 7 pm
Delighting in
God’s Word
Is
reading the Bible easy or hard for you? Do you read the Bible because you feel
like you should or because you enjoy it? If asked to be candid, a number of Christians might confess reading the Bible more
out of a sense of obligation than out of a sense of privilege. So how does one
get out of a rut? How can one start off the year seeking God through His word
with heart, mind, soul, and strength?
During
December, the adult midweek class will explore what it means to delight in
God's word. We'll hear from fellow Christians about
their favorite Scriptures and what gets them fired up about God's word. We'll hear from one another about practical things we can do
to approach God's word. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enter 2021 encouraged
to encounter God through the Scriptures!

ANGEL
TREE
A BIG thank you to everyone who
took an Angel. Please remember to bring your wrapped gifts with the Angel
attached and place them on the table in the Fellowship Hall by Sunday, December
13th. If you have any questions, please contact Juanita.
NOTE
FROM FRITZ NELSON
Dear
Church Family,
“Thy
will be done on earth as is in Heaven.” I pray this each day and know that soon
I will leave this earth. That is wonderful for me, but for my children and
grandchildren I am disappointed at what they will experience as this earth
seems to be going away from what God wants. I’ll continue praying with the hope
there will be change for the better. Your
Brother in Christ,
Fritz
