  “Please continue to keep Jason Farless in your prayers as he recuperates from his surgery.”

  Mike Guthrie: “Please keep me and several of my coworkers in your prayers as we are facing the loss of our jobs due to vaccine mandates. Currently, we are seeking exemption, but that is not guaranteed. I know God is in control and all things are possible through Him.”

  Roger Noah: “Prayers for the families of Michelle Parker, Jason Worley, Jana Gilbert and C. R. Noah.”

  Sam O’Hanian is in Huntsville Hospital, Room 580. He has tested positive for COVID. Shirley has also tested positive to COVID but is able to be at home. (Update from Shirley: “Sam was dismissed Monday afternoon and is home now. He will have physical therapy and nurse care at home.  He and I are feeling better and seem to be improving. We appreciate the prayers.”)

  Minnie Teague: “My sister, Barbara Jackson passed away last Friday, October 22nd. Please keep me and my family in your prayers.”

  Linda Tyler: “Please pray for the Sharmain Lacy Family (former member) in the recent death of Sharmain’s ex-husband, Lee Fletcher.”

2022 Central Marriage Retreat

Join us at the Joe Wheeler State Park in 2022 and enjoy time connecting with other couples while strengthening your marriage.

Theme: We Are in This Together – Couple, Family, Church, God

Date/Location: Feb 11 – 12 at Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge

Speakers: Well Known Speakers

Registration: Begins early December; Ends mid-January.

Suggested donation: $100 per couple (Donations not required but appreciated.) Assistance by providing scholarship money will be appreciated.

All meals are on your own.

Two adult classes are offered on Sundays at 9:00. Also please note that the adult classes are not livestreamed. Instead, a Zoom link is provided for access to an online small group.

1.   The Story of Redemption (Gymnasium; Coordinator: Loren Wisehart)

2.   Women’s Ministry (Library; Coordinators: Sue Underwood and Kim Story)

This class provides Bible-based content in a LIFE Talk setting and is set up to minister to women who are the head of their household and women whose husbands are not Christians. Women of all ages and situations are welcome who wish to participate in this ministry. While two ladies provide the principal oversight for the class, a number of ladies from within the class will be encouraged to lead individual sessions, usually a week or two at a time.


September 8 through December 1 (Thanksgiving Devotional on November 24)

Wednesday classes are at 7:00 pm. For those interested in supporting men’s and women’s ministries at that time outside of Central’s building, please contact Jim Norville and Selwyn Reynolds, respectively.

1.   Better Together (Library; Coordinator: Melinda Goad; Women only)

This class for ladies can either be in-person or zoomed. The two-fold goal is to 1) teach each other through our growing Bible study skills and 2) develop deeper relationships as we examine challenging texts. Contact Melinda Goad

2.   Generational Discipleship (Room 200; Leader: Daniel Alavi)

The Generational Discipleship class is designed to explore the wonderful ways God is moving throughout His people worldwide in order to equip one another for work of ministry that’s been divinely tasked to us.

3.   Raising Godly Kids (Room 113; Coordinator: Chad Dickey)

This class can either be in-person or join in on our zoom link. Zoom link:
