CENTRAL WOMEN’S MINISTRY – GAME NIGHT

Ladies,

We know it's been a while since we have had a Central Women's Ministry get together or retreat. This last year has left a lot of us feeling disconnected and craving interaction and friendships. We would like to have a casual game night where we can hopefully reconnect, have some fun, and hear from you about what you would like to see/do with our Women's Ministry moving forward!

We look forward to seeing you THIS FRIDAY, October 22nd, for a game/fellowship night!

Please bring your own dinner or eat before you come! Time for the dinner is 6:30 p.m. We will start off at 7:00 p.m. with a group game of BUNCO! Prizes await our winners.

YOU ARE INVITED

Jeff Norville requests your presence THIS Saturday, October 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Central church of Christ to witness publicly the sharing of marriage vows with his fiancé, Ashley Boston. Please come and support our brother as they begin their lives together.

Their registry at WalMart and Amazon is listed under Ashley’s name.

THANK YOU FROM FRITZ NELSON

Dear Church Family,

Thank you for your prayers. My daughter, Misty, is home now going to therapy. She is happy with her progress. My son, Danny, still has severe pain attacks, but not often. I have an appointment with the GI doctor for him, but the earliest I could get him in is November 10. I plan to call the doctor’s office every day to see if a cancelation has occurred and we could get in earlier. Again, thank you for your prayers.

Your brother in Christ,

Fritz

SUNDAY ADULT CLASS OPTIONS – FALL TERM

September 12 through November 21 – 9:00 A.M.

Two adult classes are offered on Sundays at 9:00. Also please note that the adult classes are not livestreamed. Instead, a Zoom link is provided for access to an online small group.

1.   The Story of Redemption (Gymnasium; Coordinator: Loren Wisehart)

Groups will wrap up at 9:45 am in order to move chairs into place for the large assembly which begins at 10:15 am. Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83086751743?pwd=RjNTYVR3QXNUUDRXYUxtN25VRmM0QT09

2.   Women’s Ministry (Library; Coordinators: Sue Underwood and Kim Story)

This class provides Bible-based content in a LIFE Talk setting and is set up to minister to women who are the head of their household and women whose husbands are not Christians. Women of all ages and situations are welcome who wish to participate in this ministry. While two ladies provide the principal oversight for the class, a number of ladies from within the class will be encouraged to lead individual sessions, usually a week or two at a time.

WEDNESDAY ADULT CLASS OPTIONS – FALL TERM

September 8 through December 1 (Thanksgiving Devotional on November 24)

Wednesday classes are at 7:00 pm. Zoom links will be provided for online access to some of the groups. For those interested in supporting men’s and women’s ministries at that time outside of Central’s building, please contact Jim Norville and Selwyn Reynolds, respectively.

1.   Better Together (Library; Coordinator: Melinda Goad; Women only)

This class for ladies can either be in-person or zoomed. The two-fold goal is to 1) teach each other through our growing Bible study skills and 2) develop deeper relationships as we examine challenging texts. Contact Melinda Goad

2.   Generational Discipleship (Room 200; Leader: Daniel Alavi)

The Generational Discipleship class is designed to explore the wonderful ways God is moving throughout His people worldwide in order to equip one another for work of ministry that’s been divinely tasked to us. (This is an update that the Generational Discipleship class will NOT meet tonight (October 20). This is an intentional break for us to have more time to practice our prayer walks and develop our OIKOS maps as discussed last week! I want to encourage you to take this extra time of your week to practice some of the field work we’ve done together over the last few sessions.)

3.   Raising Godly Kids (Room 113; Coordinator: Chad Dickey)
