REJOICE
We
rejoice with the angels over the birth of a new sister. Anne Claire Bell,
daughter of Ryan and Lindsey Bell/granddaughter of Claudia Ford/great-granddaughter
of Drue Wright, was baptized Sunday, September 27th. Anne Claire
is in the 5th grade at Madison Academy and is active in our
elementary ministry. Please encourage our newest little sis.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Greg
and Kara Cornelius: “Please pray for my dad, Max
Cornelius, as he is having surgery this Friday.”
Kishore Etwaroo
(our missionary in Guyana) asks us to pray for the Turu
Mission church and Port Kaituma. The
Corona Virus has gotten much worse. The Etwaroo family are all okay, but
the overall situation is bad. Two men of the Turu
Mission church have died in the last couple of weeks and many, if not most of
the congregation, are ill with typical Covid19 symptoms. Many people in Port Kaituma are also sick. Medical support and supplies are
poor to non-existent. Cheryl has been making masks (around 225 of them)
to distribute to the community.
Darryl
Floyd: “Prayers for Jim Blue, a
staff driver for His Way. He will be having shoulder surgery on Tuesday.
Prayers that he has a speedy recovery and healing.” (Update: Jim’s
surgery was more extensive than first expected. He is in Crestwood Hospital,
room 364, and should be going home either this afternoon or tomorrow depending
on his progress. Cards may be sent to him at 1000 Airport Road, Unit 10,
Huntsville, Alabama 35802.)
Nikki
Holley: “Pray for Chelle’s
coworker who has COVID, which means they are pulling double duty in the ER in
Florence, Alabama.”
Jim
and LaVonne Norville ask us to continue praying for
their good friend, Daniel Hamm, as he is doing better and is now home
from Vanderbilt Hospital. In
about a week, he will begin outpatient chemo in Paducah Kentucky.
Our
Shut-ins: Cindy Anderson, Amelia Biser, Jamie Cole, Russ and Vickie Cook,
James Hall, Gail Jones, Sally Mans, Mike Porter, Johnny Powell, and Bill &
Sherill Townsley.
Mother-In-Waiting: Jessica
Ogle (2/4), Allison Goad (2/7), and Caroline Lowery (3/16).
Our Missionaries: Denisovs & Rahimovs
(Tomsk, Russia), Kishore Etwaroo Family (Port Kaituma, Guyana), Carlos & Linda Eguizabal (Juayua & Salcoatitan, El Salvador) & YOU (Huntsville Area)
SYMPATHY
Our sympathy is extended to Jon and Paige Jackson and their sons in the passing of Paige’s father, Willis
“Mack” Tillery, Saturday, October 3rd. His
memorial was today in Cullman. Cards may be sent to The Jon Jackson Family, 2206
Hilltop Drive, Albany, GA 31707.
THANK YOU
Thanks to everyone for the food and all the help and
prayers through my recovery after surgery. Everything is appreciated beyond
words. Please continue the prayers.

TRUNK
OR TREAT
It's happening and we need you!
With so much uncertainty and
separation, this event will be an opportunity for our congregation to gather
and provide a safe and fun experience for our community.
When: October 31 (Saturday)
5pm-9pm (we will be wrapped
up and gone by 9pm)
Needs: Approximately 25 families
(cars) to decorate and handout candy
8 kitchen/food
helpers
2 greeters
(hand out bags)
2 parking lot
attendants to assist members and others in parking until 5pm (We will then open
the office side lot to anyone.)
To
address safety/health concerns:
1. All cars and spots will continue to be spaced
out as usual to make sure our congregants are six feet apart
2. All Central folks need to wear masks (feel
free to incorporate that into your costumes!)
3. If you are handing out candy, it needs to be
PRE-WRAPPED.
4. Whomever hands out the candy must wear gloves
and not allow trick or treaters to grab candy on their own.
5. We WILL still serve food, however only a
select few cooking people will be allowed in the building.
6. All food (as always) will be pre-wrapped and
handed out by selected GLOVED/MASKED workers.
7. Building will be closed to everyone except
Central members – you can use the bathrooms near the glass doors of the
gym.
To
participate and/or donate (money/food/candy) you can contact Rodney Keeton
(256-520-9196 or rodney(-at-)centralfamily.org)
OR go to the link below and register your family online!
