We rejoice with the angels over the birth of a new brother and sister. Asher Keeton, son of Rodney and SióBhan, was baptized Sunday, July 18th. Jazmonique Johnson, who has been studying with Karen Doran and Charlotte Simmons and is part of our college ministry, was baptized Friday, July 23rd. Please welcome and encourage them.

Baucum Family: “Please continue to pray for our 5-year-old great nephew, Luke Stephens. He is in the hospital with Multi System Inflammatory Syndrome, a complication from having COVID in June. It is attacking his kidneys and he has been in a lot of pain. Pray the treatments work. Doctors told his parents because the illness is so new; they don’t have all the answers. Also pray for our adult nephew, Taylor Bailey, his wife and 15-month-old son. They are sick with COVID. Thank you!”

Lisa Cooper: “Pray for my brother, Greg Cooper. He is very depressed and discouraged about his health and his life on top of the grief over our parents passing.”

Please pray for Mary Etta Neiland. She is now at home. Please call before visiting to see if it is a good time. She has someone with her at all times.

Libby Newman: “Please pray for a coworker at The Saving Way whose father had a stroke last week. His name is James Farmer. Thank you!”

Thank you for the plant. Debbie will use her “green thumb” to keep it healthy! My mom’s first name was Vera, so it will always be Vera’s plant to us.

Vera loved God, the church, and her family. She had a servant’s heart and loved many good friends.

God bless you all….

Frank, Debbie, and Jamie Cole

Dear Central Family,

Thank you for the love and kindness you’ve shown our family as we mourn the loss of Stephanie’s mother, Karen Nance. Your cards, visits, kind words, beautiful flowers and plants, delicious meals, and assistance with our lawn care have been so encouraging and helpful. We are blessed to have a Christian family who lives the love of Christ. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to grieve this tragic loss on earth while celebrating her homecoming with her savior.

We love you all.

Daniel, Stephanie, Avery, and Delaney Lewis

Our sympathy is extended to The Daniel Goad Family in the passing of Allison’s uncle, Warren McReynolds, Thursday, July 22nd. Cards may be sent to his wife, Rachel McReynolds, 750 David McReynolds, DeRidder, LA 70634.

The Central Family has been a part of my life for over 7 years. I started attending after an invite to FNL from J. Hill in 2012. After attending FNL for a few weeks and being completely encouraged by Macky's lesson, I decided to attend Sunday morning service. During my first service at Central, I was shown so much love and hospitality. I was in complete shock; I had been searching for a church home for a few months and felt so blessed to have found this church.

Central has helped me grow in my faith in ways that I did not even know I struggled with. You all have helped me learn ways to share God's love with the people in my life, which is so important to me. Through yearly spiritual weekends with Follin Clark, I learned to be vulnerable with God and persistent in my prayers. I have never had someone spiritually challenge me so much until I met her. Through LIFE Talks with the New Beginnings group and my friendship with Mishaella Ryans, I have learned how important it is to be surrounded by like-minded individuals and ways to be more hospitable. Through marriage counseling with The Binfords and attending marriage retreats, I have learned how to be a loving, forgiving and godly wife to my husband Allan. I could go on and on listing everyone who has contributed to my life (and Allan's since his move to Huntsville in 2017). Thank you Central for loving God so much, thank you for being so filled with love for God that it spilled over into Allan and I. Thank you for accepting us and giving us a community. Thank you.  But it is with a heavy heart that I give everyone an update on our life. I was recently accepted into a Physician Assistant Masters Program at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. We are so thankful for this blessing from God but concurrently heartbroken that we will be leaving the church for a couple of years. The program switched to online last year due to COVID-19, but they have decided to return to on campus this fall. Allan and I will be relocating July 31st to the bay area. We are asking for prayers for our transition and for God's protection in a new city.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:34-35

With Love,

Allan and Chiana Evans
