REJOICE

We rejoice with the angels over the birth of a new brother. Alex Hoffman, a resident at His Way, was baptized Thursday morning, July 1st. Please welcome and encourage our newest brother.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Kyearia Booker: "Prayers for the upcoming semester and over my family and friends that they will grow in the Lord."

Debbie Cole: “Please pray for Mrs. Vera Cole (my husband’s mom). She is now under Hospice care for heart failure. Pray especially for those taking care of her.” (Please see article under “Sympathy”.)

Stacey Condron: “Continue to pray for my friend, Carla, as she is still on a ventilator, but making some progress. Pray for God’s continuing strength and comfort for her and her family. Also, continue to pray for my nephew, Michael. He continues to struggle with his sense of direction. Pray that he seeks God’s guidance.”

Chris DeArmond: “Please pray for mom. She has a doctor’s appointment Tuesday. Hope she gets good news and feels better.”

Hollye Dickey: 1) Please pray for the Breeden family. My old coworker, Michelle, lost her husband, David, last week to a heart attack. He was 38 years old. Please pray for Michelle and her 3 years old son, Liam, as they navigate life without David. 2) Please also pray for a family at Concord Road Church of Christ who unexpectedly lost their 2 years old daughter recently. Pray for their peace and comfort as they mourn her loss.”

Melanie Gipson: “Please pray for me that I will get my GED soon and a job. Also, pray for my 5 children.”

Joan Hacker: “Requesting prayers for Mike James and his family. Mike has been diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer. He is a long-time friend of our family and special friend of my son, Tim and Tammie Hacker. Mike is a long-time part of the Harding family in Searcy. Prayers for courage and hope and that the doctors will find an effective treatment soon.”

Received this prayer request Wednesday (July 7th) from Ed and Nancy Jackson concerning Randall Biser's mother: "Randall's mom was released from the hospital yesterday to go back to the nursing home under the care of Hospice with the understanding that the time of her passing was near. We just received word this morning that Randall has been called to the nursing home. Please pray for the family at this time. We will be letting you know as we hear from the family."

Joan Palmer: “Pray for recovery of significant vision loss after an accident for my son, Charles, of Mobile.”

Sherrills: “Brandon's dad, Buddy Sherrill, will be having an arteriogram Wednesday to determine if he has any artery blockages that need to be addressed. Please pray that he can get the medical care he needs based on his results.”

The David Smith Family: “We are requesting prayers for the Lawrence Oldham Family. Lawrence was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday night (July 5th) on Cecil Ashburn. He was just 30 years old. He was a great friend of Brandon’s at Torch.”

BEING THANKFUL AND SHARING OUR NEWS

We are so thankful to God for answered prayers. Our grandson, Ari Hunt (son of Travis and Amy Hunt), was baptized Thursday, July 1st, at Camp Ney-A-Ti. We are blessed to have been there for his physical birth and there to watch as he was spiritually born! So proud of him. Best decision he will ever make.                                                                             Jon and Pat Canterbury
