Thursday, May 7th, has been designated as a National Day of Prayer. We invite you to pause and join with us at 12:00 noon on May 7th for 10 to 15 minutes of prayer. Though we are not gathered in the same location, let us pray in unison for our country and for our faithfulness to Christ and the Scriptures as a church.

This is a good  time for us to respond to what the Holy  Spirit calls us to do in 1 Timothy 2:1-7:

"1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men----the testimony given in its proper time."

Let us be thankful that we do not come to this time of prayer with feelings of anxiety (modern word for "worry"). Our trust is in the Lord our God and His Son. We hear a different "drummer." We are called by the Spirit through the scriptures to:

"Rejoice in the Lord always....The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:4, 6-7) "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life…..But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (Matthew 6:25a, 33-34)

In Christian love,

Richard Brown, on behalf of the elders,

Chip               David               Ed               Jamie               Richard               Robert               Rondell

Your masks have helped not only our caregivers stay safe during these troubling times, they have ensured the safety of many, many of our elderly and disabled clients that we take care of. These clients rely on us for support in daily living and most have no additional outside or live-in help. Your masks have truly blessed many! THANK YOU…bunches and bunches!
