Melinda Goad:Sekeme Ekaiko is a preacher that I work with through World Bible School. He sent an email this week urgently requesting prayers. The violence by gangs has escalated all across Nigeria and is getting closer to Akwa, his hometown. High School and college girls are being kidnapped; robbery is rampant; the governor's house was bombed; 3 policemen were murdered, one of which was a brother in Christ; and his wife's motorcycle was stolen from her at gunpoint. Please pray for safety, strength and peace for Sekeme and his family as well as the other brethren living in the shadow of this violence.”

LaVonne Norville: “A praise from LaVonne Norville. God is Good, and He has brought me successfully through some very extensive surgery on my eyelid. I’m so thankful for all the love and support He has provided through my Central family. Thank you, God, and thank you, Central.”

John Kuhn: “Pray for semester scores to be good.”

Kyearia Booker: “Prayers that God continues to lead me and guide me and pray that I be consistent in my word.”

Philip Hundley: “Please pray for Tammy and Angel Wolfe. Tammy had a procedure on her stomach and is having a problematic recovery. Also please pray for Connie Rigsby and her 14-month-old son, Jayce.”

Our Shut-ins: Bobbye Ashley, Amelia Biser, Jamie Cole, Joan Hacker, Ted Moore, Johnny Powell, and Bill & Sherill Townsley.

Our sympathy is extended to the Paul Gibbs Family in the passing of Tamela’s father, Richard Gregg, Saturday night, May 1st. Richard is a former member and a former Recovery Minister at Central. Visitation will be Friday, May 7th, from noon – 2:00 p.m. at the Spry Funeral Home followed by his funeral service at 2:00. There will be a family only graveside at Maple Hill Cemetery after the services.

Our sympathy is also extended to Grant Ralph in the death of a close cousin on his father’s side. Virginia “Ginger” Whisenant passed away April 23rd.

Thank you for the fruit basket from the church that Juanita made. It was just perfect! Thanks for Tom and Selwyn for bringing the basket and for our visit from them. Russell and I have missed our hugs, and this was special. Also, Gerry Binford smoked some ribs for us, sent from the Dittos. Please give our thanks, he is the best ribs cook. We soooo enjoyed our meal. Sharon’s potatoes and dessert were fabulous! Thank you. Brenda brought all this food and came to visit us as well, such a wonderful visit.  Grateful for each and every one of you. I have received cards and well wishes and I love you all.

The Ralstons

We want to say thank you for all the love poured during this time of Mishaella’s father passing. The texts, meals, hugs, crying, counseling and prayers.  All was needed and all are very much appreciated.
