Dear Central Church
Family,
We were very touched by the beautiful space themed baby shower you
threw for us last weekend. We felt loved and cared for. There were so many
details, the books, gifts, gluten free cookies, and so many more, that were all
really touching. Thank you for being God's outpouring of love to us and our
upcoming baby. In Christ,
Heidi & Bryan Haviland
Dear
Church Family,
Thank you for your continued prayers for us.
We appreciate the prayers, texts, phone calls, visits, and food so very much.
What a joy to receive the basket filled with
fruit and snacks! And what can we say about Juanita and her talent in making
the basket so attractive, delivering it, and taking time from her busy schedule
to visit a short while. We
love you all.

CENTRAL ADULT WEDNESDAY NIGHT
IN-PERSON
AND ONLINE CLASSES
Wednesday,
March 10 at 7 pm
The
Bible has some great throne room scenes that provide a glimpse of what it’s like to be in God’s presence. John’s vision in the book
of Revelation picks up on some of the visuals from Isaiah and Daniel to
describe that awe-inspiring experience.
This
coming Wednesday night, we will be reading passages from the book of Revelation
and then singing songs that are connected with those
readings. The gymnatorium will be available for those who want to participate
in person, and the assembly will be livestreamed at https://www.centralfamily.org/ on the Central Family YouTube
channel for those who want to sing along at home.

There is
only one spot available (April 23) for someone to provide a meal for our
college ministry’s FNL. If you would like that day, please email pat(-at-)centralfamily.org. If you have questions, please contact Carla Campbell – 256-882-6449.
On Sunday, March 21st,
at 5:30 pm, Central is hosting a congregational supper with a focus on sacrificial
love and benevolence.
This will be a celebration of our
time together in the letter of James over the last six weeks, as well as
another opportunity to practice obedience to biblical teaching. James begins
his letter by encouraging his readers to “not just be hearers of the word, but
doers” (1:22) and he concludes his letter with a warning to the rich,
specifically to those who selfishly value money over people. As a family of God
serving in the city of Huntsville, we value the financial blessings we’ve received, and we strive to use our resources to help
others in need.
For our meal, we’ll
have soup, crackers, and water. The simplicity of the meal as well as its lower
cost is intentional. Our goal is to partake in a sacrificial meal and to
give what we would normally spend on a Sunday night dinner to our benevolence
fund. May the Lord use this meal and the Central Family to bless those in need!
