PRAYER REQUESTS
Debbie
Cole:
“Jamie has been diagnosed with melanoma on her wrist. Went Thursday
(February 4th) to UAB to get a MOH surgery done but found out that
her original site for biopsy is infected. So, 10 days of antibiotics, then back
for surgery on her wrist if infection is gone. Asking for prayers that Jamie
won’t get depressed over this new diagnosis on top of
her others. We miss you guys and love you all!”
Please continue to keep Tim
and Jimi Johnson in your prayers. They are gradually getting better. They
will be going back to the doctor next week to check Tim out as he is
still having trouble with his stability. Jimi stated: “Glad to be home.”
Joan Palmer: "Please pray for medical challenges – non-COVID related
for family in Louisiana, especially Betty Kirklin (sister), Bruce
Harris (brother), and Claudette Luke (cousin)."
Johnny
Powell will be in rehab at least for one more
week, possibly two at the most. They have moved him to a different room. His
address is 2061 Poole Drive North, Huntsville, AL 35810.
Reynolds: “Please pray for the family of Carl
Davis, former resident of His Way and father of Ashley Wharton’s
daughter, Alana. Ashley is Joni Blackman’s sister.”
Bill
Townsley texted
the following when asked how he was doing: “Better as the days go on. Still
getting around on one leg. No pressured allowed on my left leg at all. Key doctor
appointment on 2/24 to see if I have behaved since 12/21 when I broke the left
hip again.”
Please continue to keep
Bobbye Ashley, Johnny Powell, and Bill Townsley in your prayers for them to
get stronger as they do their rehab.

SYMPATHY
Our sympathy to Chip
and Laura Jones and the family in the passing of Laura’s mother/Rachel
McCauley’s and Sarah Parker’s
grandmother, Sue Jones,
Wednesday, February 3rd. There was a private family graveside Sunday, February
7th.
THANK YOU
Dearest Brothers and
Sisters,
Thank you so much for your concern for our health during these past
few weeks: the prayers, cards, texts, and calls have been
uplifting. It has been a difficult time for us, but we are
improving. This past Sunday was wonderful: we were able to be with
you via internet—the first time in 5 weeks. The singing was a
blessing—miss the interaction when we are with you in person but hopefully it
will not be long before we can worship with you and talk with you face to face. In
Christian love,
Tim and Jimi Johnson
Please bring children’s books for
the Havilands (new or used).

Our
Elementary’s Super Cereal Bowl was this past Sunday, February 7th.
112 cereal boxes were collected (approximately 2 ½ Goliaths) to help those in
our congregation and Manna House. The 1st and 2nd graders
won the friendly competition by brining the most boxes. Thanks to everybody for
their help and contributions!

There is only one more spot available – April 23 –

Our congratulations to Richard and Sandra Brown,
who will celebrate their 65th anniversary Thursday, February 11th. Thank you for your example to all of
us.
NOTE FROM FRITZ NELSON
Dear Church Family,
I’m progressing into the digital age. My son and daughter-in-law
got me a Facebook portal. I can now have facetime with my daughter in Virginia,
my granddaughters in New York and Boston plus my son and daughter-in-law in
Kuwait, and my granddaughter in California. Soon this technology will be in
watches like Dick Tracy’s was (if it isn’t already
available there).
We received our 1st
COVID 19 shot and are scheduled for the 2nd later this month. I look
forward to seeing everyone very soon. Your
Brother in Christ,
Fritz
